From June 10 to 13, 2026, the 51st Annual Meeting of the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As one of the largest and most influential academic events in the global field of urogynecology, this year’s congress brought together over 1,000 registered participants from 61 countries, featuring more than 130 hours of educational sessions, with up to 5 concurrent sessions, 619 abstract presentations, 15 cutting-edge symposia, and 18 hands-on workshops.

Wei Yan from the Nanjing Medlander Institute of Medical Technology presented an oral presentation titled “Effects of Electrical Stimulation Combined with Biofeedback Therapy on Pelvic Floor Function,” sharing Medlander’s latest clinical research findings in pelvic floor rehabilitation with peers from around the world.
Meanwhile, Medlander’s academic poster “To investigate the clinical efficacy of integrated electromyographic pressure electrical stimulation combined with biofeedback in the treatment of mild to moderate female stress urinary incontinence and its effect on pelvic floor muscle function: a prospective study” was also presented at the conference, drawing considerable attention and discussion from attending experts. This fully demonstrates Medlander’s research capabilities and academic depth in the field of female pelvic floor rehabilitation.
